Constitutional Republican Party Platform

For the 1st time in the 164 years history of the Republican Party, a contemporary party platform was not provided in in 2020, a presidential election year. This unprecedented lack of responsibility is indicative of the deficiency within the last administrations leadership and wisdom. Constitutional Republicans believe it is imperative that the Republican Party adopt specific platform principles for Republican candidates and elected representatives to promote and initiate to best represent the citizens in their local, state, and federal representative governments.

The Republican Party needs reform and new leaders that look to restore the initial principles by which the party was founded and demonstrated in the image, intellect, and benevolence of Abraham Lincoln.

The following 17 points are reminiscent of the Republican party platform in 1860 and are patterned after the platform created by Dr. Larry Arnn and Matthew Spalding of Hillsdale College in 2016. This platform provides a list of common principles that can be followed in creating policies and forming political positions.

Hereby acknowledge that the purpose of American Government, from the local, state, and federal levels is derived from the principles articulated in the Declaration of Independence; being the recognition of the laws of nature and natures God, the equality of all mankind before God, the law, the unchanging God given natural rights, such as, life, liberty, and property, and the consent of those governed assuring the government’s responsibility in solely securing the rights of those agreeing to be governed.

Re-establishing the instrument by which the principles of the Declaration of Independence are provided being the United States Constitution and State Constitutions. The Constitution stipulates the specific and limited enumerated responsibilities of the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government. The structure provided by the Constitution, identifying the separation of powers, institutional checks and balances, and the properly proposed duties exercised by each branch, accordingly, offers each individual citizen of the United States the best protection of their civil rights and successfully limits the power of government to infringe upon an individual’s God given, unalienable rights.

Defending and recognizing constitutionally, the God given, inviolability of the life of a child in their mother’s womb from conception, re-establishing the rights of the states in legislating rare cases, causes and conditions that presently make up a fraction of the reasons cited for abortion.

Restoring law and order as a foremost responsibility of government in protecting the person and their property, restoring punitive justice with punishment commiserate with the crime, assuring justice is given the victims of crime, promising the manifestation in fear and dread of Almighty God for those who violate the natural rights of their fellow human being.

Restoration of the rule of law with all law-making being exclusively derived from the legislative bodies, rather than administrative agencies, executive orders, and must assure equal rights to all citizens, special rights and privileges given to none. Laws must be concise, transparent, and clearly understood by the citizens and must past constitutionally constructed scrutiny by all three institutions, legislative, executive and judiciary.

Restoring the Executive Officers, the President and Governors, to the enumerated and initial duties given the office in the Constitution and State Constitutions, being an executor of the laws passed by the legislative branches, utilizing the veto power, federally recognized as the Commander and Chief during declared declarations of war by congress and assuring the protection of the borders, and Seas of the United States, negotiating treaties and alliances with foreign powers with Congressional approval.

Restoring the initial responsibilities of an independent judiciary given the Supreme Court and State Supreme Courts incorporating the practice of judicial review and evaluating all legislation in lieu of natural law and Constitutional textual consideration given at the time the Constitution was written.

Restoring federalism in assuring greater domestic policy making authority and control given to local, county, and state governments. Restoring fiduciary responsibility of the federal and state governments in maintaining balanced and properly managed budgets.

Restoring the proper role of the federal government in providing for the common defense, protecting the American people and our independence from threats foreign and domestic. Protecting Americans here and abroad and assuring all agreements with other nations, including trade agreements are made in the best interest of the American people.

Restoring adherence to the rules of naturalization, created by the United States Congress, to protect existing American citizens, by and through their consent, and to assure proper assimilation into our American culture, created by the United States Congress and enforced by the President of the United States.

Assuring economic policies derived from the local, state, and federal governments creating an environment in which free market economies may thrive, creating wealth through production, manufacturing, reducing burdensome regulations, providing public benefit in reducing poverty for the common good of all. Promoting common sense energy policies. Assuring equal opportunity and free labor for all, protecting middle class Americans from unjust tax burdens, and promoting private enterprise and investment, supporting entrepreneurial growth and expansion.

Preserving the 2nd Amendment rights of all law-abiding Americans to keep and bare firearms for the protection of themselves and their families. Assuring all law-abiding citizens in all 50 States exercise their right to carry a firearm on their person, outside of their homes, with exceptions specified in areas not authorized for firearm carry such as federally or state regulated or protected areas.

Restoring the rights of parents in deciding their children’s education by enabling school choice for all and protecting private, charter, and religious schools from federal and state governmental interference, giving full authority and curriculum creation to parents and local school boards.

Protecting Social Security for all those who have paid their working lives and initiate privatizing individual accounts assuring their sustainability for future generations. Improving upon a just security net for those less fortunate and utilizing fiscal responsibility in assuring a relief net while encouraging a consistent and successful determination for the citizen to work.

Divesting further governmental involvement with health care to encourage the relationship between patient and physician. Assure an environment exists that enables competitive insurance pricing for citizens and protects those with pre-existing conditions and currently have health care insurance. Encourage preventative measures for citizens and protect business that provides health care to their employees from further costs and expenses. Reevaluate requirements given health care providers that drive up costs and expenses. Assure equal opportunity for patients to purchase drugs and work with pharmaceuticals to reasonably keep costs down.

Protecting the traditional family unit consisting of a man, a woman and their children with law encouraging commitment, rewarding longevity, and eliminating the violations of due process and rights afforded to parents, children, and immediate relatives in family courts. Re-Evaluate the education, philosophy and methods incorporated into Child Protection Services and Social Services in assuring the best interests of both child and parents are adequately considered.

Encouraging the staples of a healthy and free society by upholding equality before the law in freely speaking, free exercise of religion, freedom of association, protecting families, schools, places of worship, and all institutions of a civil society to cultivate virtues and character essential for each citizen in maintaining republican government.
